Join Us! A Celebration of Water — Communities United By Water

Mark the date and join neighbors, that is neighbors from all over the U.S., in a celebration of COMMUNITIES UNITED BY WATER June 25 and 26. See the link below for full details.

The LWV/ABC will have a table highlighting our work including the efforts protecting our waters. While we have three board members who will be available to greet folks at the table, YOUR HELP is needed. Please show up to take a turn at our table, visit with the crowd and sell our story.

We have also been partnering for the June 26 Roadside Cleanup on sections of the Hwy’s following the proposed new Enbridge Line 5. Go to the link in the poster (below). You can register for an assigned route via the link or stop at the Local Organizing table at the June 25 event. Show we care for our “home”, our waters with others cleaning it up.

The Cleanup will be followed by a potluck/bag lunch picnic at the “Bench” which is along the North Country Trail and Bad River where Line 5 crosses just outside Copper Falls. Details will be at the table as well on June 25.

Finally, BRING YOUR STORIES-to the storytelling pavilion on June 25. This event is made possible thru a grant the LWV received as a pass thru for Superior Waters Story Corps (Duluth/Superior Community Foundation)

Our LWV/ABC and LWVWI have shown great leadership in protecting water. JOIN in the celebration of past wins and commit to ongoing challenges.
