The Chequama-Care COVID-19 Response Fund

Dear Members and Friends,

Sunny Friday greetings if you are near the Chequamegon Bay where it sure feels like spring this afternoon!

It is my honor to share with you information about a local relief fund that has the backing of the Duluth Superior Area Community Foundation and is the product of inspired and thoughtful efforts by members of our community.

The link below will lead you to the website where you can donate or request funds that will be used to counter the upheaval in our area caused by the Coronavirus pandemic.

"The mission of the Chequama-Care COVID-19 Response Fund is to respond with efficiency to the needs identified in our communities and deploy resources to nonprofit organizations at the frontlines of the coronavirus outbreak. In particular, these grants will be made utilizing the expertise of the Apostle Islands/Chequamegon Bay Advisory Board."

At our March meeting, the Board of the League of Women Voters of Ashland and Bayfield Counties discussed how we might help deal with the current crisis. Since then we became aware of this valuable effort and agreed to encourage your support and dissemination of this endeavor.

We know well how good it feels to help others.

This is one place you can make a difference!

With gratitude and healthful wishes for you and yours,

Anne
