John Muir Chapter of Sierra Club 2020 Awards to LWVABC and Mike Wiggins, Bad River Band of Lake Superior Chippewa

The League of Women Voters of Ashland and Bayfield Counties received the Good Citizen Award from the John Muir Chapter of the Sierra Club at their virtual Awards Ceremony live-streamed on Facebook on the evening of November 18th.

Joan Elais, who is our Natural Resources Advocacy Committee chair, accepted the award on behalf of our chapter. Joan and her committee have worked endlessly on decommissioning Line 5.

Mike Wiggins from the Bad River Band of Lake Superior Chippewa received the Torchbearer Award.
