Please join John Marsden of Environment Canada and Chris Korleski of EPA’s Great Lakes National Program Office as they host lake–specific webinars to continue the discussions with stakeholders on lakewide management issues addressed by Annex 2 of the 2012 Great Lakes Water Quality Agreement. On July 8th, 2015, Environment Canada and the United States Environmental Protection Agency held a Great Lakes basin-wide webinar to initiate stakeholder discussions and cultivate creative thinking on how to most effectively engage stakeholders within the Great Lakes Basin on lakewide management issues. Because each Great Lake is unique, these upcoming webinars will build on feedback from the July webinar and focus the conversation on each individual Great Lake.
During these lake-by-lake discussions, John and Chris will:
- provide a brief update on Annex 2 and the lake-specific lakewide management governance and progress;
- briefly review the stakeholder discussions and feedback from the July 8th webinar; and
- hold an open discussion with lake stakeholders on ideas for lake–specific engagement and outreach.
The September webinars will give Great Lakes stakeholders an opportunity to suggest and discuss effective and innovative outreach and engagement practices that have been or could be used by the Lake Partnerships.
