Join us for a viewing of the film “Merchants of Doubt” and a discussion of the process of casting doubt on scientific knowledge for corporate profit or political gain. This movie is based on the 2010 book with the same title (by Naomi Oreskes and Erik M. Conway). The history of this process is long, and it has paved the way for the current denial of science and the creation of fake news.
